Dear Customer,
For greater transparency on the specific processes that have to be followed when
ordering from our website, please take the opportunity to familiarize yourself with
our Terms & Conditions. Kindly send us an e-mail
info@namrocks.com if you have any further questions or queries in this regard
Ordering Policy:
To order simply send us an e-mail request for the item(s) of interest. Please include
your full name, shipping address, contact details and preferred payment method.
We will send you a return e-mail notification to confirm the item availability and
will start the transaction process. Kindly take note that if you have placed an
order and have not received feedback from us; please let us know so that we may
contact you from an alternative email address.
The transaction process is as follows:
Once an order has been received and a confirmation has been sent from our side to
the customer, we will pack the specimen and get quotes on the shipping charges.
These costs will then be sent to you for final approval, after which you will initiate
the payment. After the payment in full has been processed, the items will be have
to be inspected by the Namibian Ministry of Mines and Energy for the relevant export
documentation (more information on this below in Namibian Export Policy) after which
the shipment will be sent to your provided address.
Payment Policy:
All prices quoted on this website are in United States Dollars (USD). As we work
in a foreign currency you will be invoiced in Namibian Dollars (NAD) at the current
exchange rate effective on the date of payment.
We accept payment in the flowing ways:
- Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
- Bank Wire Transfer (SWIFT)
Kindly note that PayPal has not been integrated in Namibia but that we will notify
you as soon as this service becomes available in our country.
The final invoice value will be the sum of the following:
- Item cost
- Shipping cost
- Insurance cost (if required)
To prevent any confusion it must be noted that www.namrocks.com
is a subsidiary of the House of Gems, Windhoek, Namibia. As such, your invoice will
be made out by the House of Gems and not by www.namrocks.com
as these two companies are linked and the main holdings company will always be in
charge of all financial transactions.
Shipping Policy:
Shipping and handling charges will be added to your invoice and will vary from destination
and the weight of the shipment. We do not profit from any shipment charges and to
this effect we will provide you with the proof of payment to the shipping agent
if this is requested or required from your side.
We can send items in a variety of ways including:
- Normal Post
- Registered Airmail or Expedited Mail Service (EMS)
- Courier (FedEx, DHL, TNT, Kuehne & Nagel)
However, we would highly suggest that customers choose the courier option as it
is much faster and safer when compared to the other shipping options. A courier
may not be the most affordable means of transportation, however their rates are
quite favorable and the added benefits generally outweigh the extra costs.
We also would strongly suggest that you insure your parcels as the contents may
be occasionally be damaged by customs officials opening parcels for inspection.
We cannot be held liable for any possible losses or damages (subject to proper packing)
that you may incur due to shipping of parcels and this especially true if you do
choose to have your items sent by Normal Post, Registered Airmail or Expedited Mail
Service (EMS).
Let us know should you require any specific shipping routings or specific customs
clearing documentation and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our abilities.
Kindly send us an email after receiving you purchase to let us know that everything
was in order and so that we can finalize the transaction for our records.
In the event of any discrepancies we will provide you with the transaction documents
which are stored in our database in hard as well as softcopy, therefore please keep
a record of the unique transaction number which will be provided to you and will
appear on all relevant documentation and correspondence with you.
Please note that you as the customer are personally responsible for the customs
procedure in the destination country.
Namibian Export Policy:
Under the Namibian Mines and Energy Act, we are bound by law to have all natural
mineral specimens inspected by the relevant local authorities and will be required
to apply for the relevant Export Permit. This is a relatively simple process but
it must be noted that the application for an Export Permit can take a few days from
the Ministries’ side and hence shipments will always be delayed to a certain extent.
Due to the fact that each single consignment (regardless of value) has to be physically
inspected and a Export Permit has to be granted by the Ministry, we undertake to
only provide the Ministry with export lots on a weekly basis, therefore there will
normally be a 2 week delay from ordering to shipping time.
Please also note that a 2% royalty fee on all natural mineral specimens is enforced
by the Ministry. You will not need to pay this extra fee as it will already be built
into the selling price as per the website, however we need to state for the sake
of transparency that all regulatory fees will be covered from our side and if requested
we can also provide you with the proof of payment in this regard.
Reservations Policy:
Specimens will generally not be reserved unless we have a long standing relationship
with the customer and all reservations and amortizations are at our sole discretion.
It will be noted that reserved items will have to be paid for in full and cannot
be reserved for an unlimited amount of time.
Privacy Policy:
Any email correspondence, transactions, communications, information provided to
this site such as names, addresses, phone numbers, credit card information, etc.
are held in the highest degree of strict confidence. All email addresses voluntarily
entered by the public to our mailing list are kept confidential and are not shared
with any third party under any circumstances or offered to sale or rent to a third
party. To protect your security, no customer credit card or other payment information
is stored on online databases.
Return Policy:
We believe that our photographs and mineral descriptions to be accurate to the degree
to please all of our clients. We are however aware of the difficulties in ascertaining
specimen quality without physically handling the specimen, thus if you wish to return
a specimen because you are in any way dissatisfied with your purchase you may return
the specimen by following the below stipulations:
- Within 14 days of receipt of a specimen, customers must send an e-mail notice of
the intent to return the specimen as well as providing a reason for the return.
We will confirm the customer request for return and will provide you with the return
shipping address.
- Please be sure to repack the specimen very carefully. The customer will be responsible
for any damage that occurs to a specimen during return shipment, any items returned
in a damaged state will not be refunded.
- Once the returned specimen has been received by us in the same condition as it was
sent, you will be refunded the full price of the specimen less the shipping costs.
By placing an order with us you are in agreement that you have read, understood
and accept the all the Terms & Conditions of Sale as outlined above.
Failure to familiarize yourself with its contents will not exempt you from any
obligations expressed therein.
